Debut full-length, Empires, due out October 12th

Aug. 10, 2010 – CI Records is excited to announce the latest addition to their roster – South Jersey’s WHERE THE OCEAN MEETS THE SKY who will release their CI Records debut, Empires, October 12^th 2010.

Empires, the debut full-length from the musically adventurous six-piece, is an audio assault that is just as smart as it is heavy – an unfortunately rare combination in today’s current alt music scene.

“Our goal with this album was to create something lasting, something with depth, and something that pushes the boundaries of our music scene,” explains vocalist Blake Martin. “Now with CI, we have a label behind us that's confident in us and is going to do everything in their power to get us where we need to be and we couldn’t be more excited for people to hear this album!”

While the combination of thunderous metal machinations and atmospheric soundscapes may not be new, with Empires WHERE THE OCEAN MEETS THE SKY proves that you need not reinvent the wheel to improve upon it.
